RIP NUUMI
Check out this article from the Detroit Free Press regarding the closing of the great NUUMI plant (of which I'm very sorry to hear).
I used to own a GEO Prizm made at the plant. Apart from the fact that it didn't have cruise control, it was a great, well built car. I paid for a pre-emptive timing belt change at about 90k miles. The transmission went bad at 260k miles and I had it towed to the junk yard. Other than that belt change, I spent almost nothing on the car. Even the brake pads lasted a long time.
I sure hate to see the plant go.
